Ole Krarup, from Buckhead, Atlanta, bought a 2 carat diamond on his 70th birthday which was last August. The diamond which worth $8000, was designed to match some of his cowboy belts. Last Thursday night he was at Chops Lobster Bar and noticed the diamond fell, he told the workers at the restaurant and one of them found it later and told Krarup to come pick it up. Krarup says he will return with a $1000 check as a bonus for returning the diamond.

After test which were taking place in Thailand with over 16000 volunteers, scientists announced a breakthrough in the search for a vaccine for HIV on Thursday. According to the findings, the vaccine reduced the risk of HIV infection by 31%.

A family who camped in the Yukon wilderness met a dog which had porcupine quills sticking out of its face and helped him. Last Thursday evening the 2 years old son of the family disappeared. A rescue team tried to look for him since it was a cold and rainy night and the boy was wearing only a t shirt. After 24 hours they found the boy and the dog next to him, protecting him and keeping him warm.

Sally Clarke, an army medic from Cheltenham, was injured while patrolling with her comrades which got under a surprise attack from Taliban insurgents. Sally suffered from wounds in her back and shoulder but noticed that 7 other soldiers were injured so she started treating each and every one of them.
