Last week, 20 women shoes, all donated by celebrities including Jeniffer Aniston, Samantha Harris, Scarlett Johansson, Taylor Swift and Estelle.Most of the shoes went for $200, except Jennifer’s Jimmy Choo which raised $800.Total of $9600 were raised for women battling cancer.

Eindhoven University of Technology is starting new research with aims of developing nano-structured solar cells that can attain an efficiency of more than 65 percent. The researchers claim that nanotechnology, in combination with the use of concentrated sunlight through mirror systems, has the potential to lead to the world’s most efficient solar cell system with a cost price lower than 50 cent per Watt peak.

On Tuesday, 2 sisters from Utah (Michelle Pientka and Jessica Pientka ages 21 and 16), found $18,000 stuffed inside a duffel bag at Macys grocery store parking lot. The sisters called the police to return the bag.
The owner of the bag, who was already reporting to the police about the bag he left at the parking lot, was grateful and sent the sisters a thank you card with a reward in it.

Abu Dhabi will build the world’s largest concentrated solar power plant which will offset 170 thousand tonnes of carbon dioxide annually. The new power plant will spread on 2.5 square kilometers and will have a capacity of 100 megawatt, it will be complete within 2.5 years and will cost about 600 million dollars.

According to new Statistics Canada data, The Canadians are decreasing their daily calories and are eating more fruits and vegetables.
when comparing 2001 and 2009 the daily calories intake per person is down by 155 and during 2009 there was a record consumption of vegetables.

On Tuesday morning , Lorie Aliano, 38 years old mom, just dropped her son at school when she heard an unusual noise. This was an empty bus which was heading towards the sidewalk where many children were waiting. Lorie jumped into the driver seat and stopped the bus by using the middle pedal which she hoped was the right one.
