Camp Erin Helps Kids with Their Grief

At Camp Erin in Big Bear, this July, almost half of the campers were members of the Mourning Star support group. The camp  united them with other kids, members of similar groups,  to help those who’ve lost loved ones realize they’re not alone and that their feelings are normal.

Sean Simpson had walked up a mountainside along the Animas River grieving drowed freind. Suddenly, he heard children screaming that their freind is drawning. Simpson jumped into the frigid river and saved the child.

17 years old Danielle Galloway, grew up homeless in Atlanta. She attended ten different schools and bounced from one shelter to another. Her goal was to achieve a good education and nothing stoped her. These days she has graduated in the top of her class and won a full scholarship to Boston University.

Clerk Gave Robber Money to Buy Insulin

A robber arrived to a mini mart at Arkansas, USA and asked the clerk to open the register, the clerk refused sayng this is not his money, the robber then said he need $40 to buy Insulin and the clerk decided to give him the $40 from his wallet.

Pfizer Offers Free Drugs to Unemployed

The drug company, Pfizer Inc. has announced a new program in which people who lost their health insrance due to loss of job will be able to get 70 common drugs of Pfizer Inc. This program will be mainly financed by donations of Pfizer employees and by the Pfizer foundation.

Boy Finds Over $8K

A 10 years old boy from New Hampshire finds, while picking up litter, a charred backpack with more than $8K in cash. Inside the bag there was also a passport and other documents which helped track the owner of the money who is a lady that used to live there until a fire ruined her appartment last year.

In Torbay, Devon, police officers will hand out “fixed-reward notices” such as cinema tickets or other vouchers, which have been donated by local businesses,   for youngsters spotted carrying good deeds such as handing in lost property, picking up litter, helping pensioners across the street and more .

Good News for One Dog from Afghanistan

Bear the Afghan dog was born and almost immediately was trained to be at dogfights, his ears and tail been cut. A British soldier first found this dog a year ago and brought Bear to the animal shelter, the animal shelter contacted Paul  Farthing who now runs a charity for abandoned animals, and he asked Mayhew International to find Bear a home.
