Donations from Americans for earthquake relief in Haiti have passed the $1 billion and received by 91 charities engaged in Haiti relief. Major recipients of Haiti donations include American Red Cross, Catholic Relief Services, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF and the U.S. wing of Doctors Without Borders.

A girl from US, Arizona was saved by her dog by keeping her from freezing during night at -30 degree. They were found the morning after about 1km from home by helicopter crew that spotted them.

Josh and John Duggar saved Maddye, a 6 years old girl who was brought by her grandmother to Josh’s nearby used car dealership after being involved in a car crash. Josh called 911 and his brother, John, started CPR on the unresponsive girl. Maddye is now in stable condition.

Austin Forman, an 11 years old boy from British Columbia, was gathering firewood from his backyard when a cougar came. The dog, name angel, protected the boy and fought the cougar until an officer arrived and killed the cougar. Angel suffered injuries but survived the attack.

A 5 years old girl, Abigail, stayed at home with her mom, who was on the 31st week of pregnancy with twins, while her dad went to the store last Friday. Soon her mom went into labor and Abigail brought her mom the phone and then asking help from her neighbors.

Kimberly Lawrence, from Vermont, had a minor car accident near her house and she took a bath after the accident. As it turn out she passed out inside the bath, and her daughter, a 5 years old girl, called 911. Because Kimberly is a diabetic, she taught her daughter how to call 911 in case of an emergency.

On November 17th, a pregnant woman collapsed and landed on the subway tracks in Brooklyn. 2 men jumped and saved the women who is 10 weeks pregnant.

A family who camped in the Yukon wilderness met a dog which had porcupine quills sticking out of its face and helped him. Last Thursday evening the 2 years old son of the family disappeared. A rescue team tried to look for him since it was a cold and rainy night and the boy was wearing only a t shirt. After 24 hours they found the boy and the dog next to him, protecting him and keeping him warm.
