Ichiro Suzuki, of the Seattle Mariners, has donated 1.2 milion dollars to the Red Cross’ relief efforts in Japan. The Mariners have also said they would match any donations made by fans or front office staffers up to $100,000.

17-year-old Hayward Demison is a football player at his school. Last Friday night, during a football match he suffered a cardiac arrest, but luckily enough, Cardiac nurse, Lisa Lyver, was watching the game and rushed into the field and saved his life.

Korean woman first to scale 14 tallest peaks

Oh Eun-Sun from South Korea, became on April 27th 2010 the first woman to scale the world’s 14 highest peaks. The Korean tv joined and filmed her at the summit of Mount Annapurna. Oh Eun-Sun is 44 years old and has been climbing for 13 years.

Green Gym for Homeless People

In Detroit, A new gym opened, this gym is for homeless men and women and it has some donated ping pong tables, treadmills and other equipment which was donated. In addition, 10 stationary bikes that generate electricity were purchased and the electricity produced from it goes back to the facility and reduces by that the electricity costs.
