The new battery expected to be much cheaper than currently available batteries and achieve long lifetime and stability. Options of mass production in the near future are being reviewed.

The smallest fuel cell (3 millimetres across) has been successfuly created by US chemical engineers and will be able , in the future to replace batteries in gadgets. These fuel cells can store more energy than batteries on the same space.
