Orismar de Souza, a 35 years old homeless man from Brazil, built his own car using junk and used parts he could get. Once car was completed he was able to search for a job and started to work.

Brazil’s Turtles of the Amazon Project is an organization which aims to make the first stages of life for the endangered turtles a little easier. The organization recently coordinated the release of 180,000 thirty days old Arraus river turtles into the Amazon river with hopes to better their chances to survive.

U.S. cancels 21$ million of Brazil debt in exchange for Amazon forest protection. The U.S. has done the same also for Bangladesh, Belize, Botswana, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Indonesia, Jamaica, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, and the Philippines.

Secretary Clinton signed an agreement with Brazil to combat deforestation with the objective of slash greenhouse gas emissions from tropical deforestation. The deal marks the first time the two countries have formally agreed to work together on this subject.
