Bob biggs, 69 years old  was hiking along California river when he spotted a bear with her cub, he looked at them for a while and moved along when suddenly a mountain lion attacked him, started to shake bob when Mama bear suddenly arrived, grabbing the neck of the mountain lion and tearing it down to the ground.

Shark fin ban in California

The bill which was approved by the state Assembly earlier this year, would take effect on January 1, 2013. This ban will protect the shark populations from over-fishing. California, that is home for a large  Chinese-Americans population, is one of the biggest markets for shark fins outside Asia.

wild condors in California Flourish

A captive breeding program for the wild condors in California caused the population of the wild condors to rise from only 22 in the year 1982 to 100 today. The condors will get another bump over the next few months with the release of 11 juveniles. The big birds are also reproducing on their own in the wild, adding 16 young to the California population since 2004.
