$2 Billion Food Donation

Wall-Mart plans to donate a huge amount of $2 billion of grants and food in the next five years to hunger relief organizations. The plan is to donate more than 1.1 billion pounds of fruits, vegetables, meats and other type of food in addition to grants equals to $250 million.

Expensive Ring Found in Donation

A 2.6-carat diamond and platinum ring was spotted by a retired jeweler sorting through items donated to a Pennsylvania charity. The ring which was discovered last week has been appraised at $17,600.

Entire Tour Profits to Charity

US Donations for Haiti Surpassed $1 Billion

Donations from Americans for earthquake relief in Haiti have passed the $1 billion and received by 91 charities engaged in Haiti relief. Major recipients of Haiti donations include American Red Cross, Catholic Relief Services, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF and the U.S. wing of Doctors Without Borders.

A huge donation which is given to three school districts and five charter groups by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is the largest education grant in a decade. The donation of  $290 million will focus mainly on reforming teacher management and studying what makes teachers effective.

Huge Donations to Wipe Out Polio
