Electric CarThe car will be based on the old Mercedes Gullwing and will includ a lithium-ion batteries. The 525 horsepower, generated by four electric motors, will make it reach 60 in less than 4 seconds with zero pollution. The car is expected to reach production by 2015.

Boost for electric cars

No less than 8 big automakers will soon supply new types of electric cars. The target of US government is to achieve million hybrid electric cars on the roads by 2015. For example, GM is planning to sell electric Volt model in 2010.

Better Place in Denmark

Better Place company and Dong Energy  raise 103 million Euro that will go toward constructing charging stations for electric cars. Better Place plan to build a network of automated charging stations to enable common use of electric cars in Denmark by 2011.

New Dawn for Electric Cars?

The first electric car with satisfying performances, made by a major manufacturer, will be riding UK roads as soon as mid 2009. The i-MiEV from Mitsubishi will reach top speed of 140kph, can go a distance of 160 km without charging and provides all the safety required from a saloon car including passing successfully crash tests.
