South Korea will build 8.2 billion dollars offshore wind farm project by 2019. The project includes 500 turbines in the west coast that will generate about 2,500 megawatts of electricity.

First Wind Farm for New York City

The wind farm project which is planned to be about 13 miles off the coast of Rockaway island has made a significant progress as a request for information for its plan was issued. The wind farm is expected to generate 350MW with an option of total of 700MW power supply.

Wind Farm in Germany

A new project, which is the biggest in Germany, will soon develop a 960-megawatt wind project right off the German coast. This wind farm will include about 150-180 wind turbines which will provide 6 MW each. This project is planned for the beginning of 2010, and first acivity will begin at 2011. Total cost of this project is about €2.8 billion.

Huge Project for Wind Energy in Mexico

New wind farm prject is being realized in Mexice and will be active already in 2009. The project will cost about 550 million dollars and will comprise 167 wind turbines which will generate a sum of 250 mega watt of green and clean electricity.

Kenya will Get it’s Electricity by Using Renewable Wind Power

By the year 2012, one quarter of Kenya electricity will be arriving  from a new wind fram which will produce 300 MW. The total cost of this project, which will be funded mostly be the African Development Bank (AfDB), is about $760 million.
